woo-hoo ?
Friday's snowfall has put Portland above the 100-inch mark for the season.
The National Weather Service says that as of 7 a.m., the snow totals in Maine's largest city hit 100.7 inches. That figure is on the rise as snow is expected to continue through much of the day.
Jim Hayes of the weather service says snow totals in Portland for the winter of 2007-2008 now rank 15th-highest since officials began keeping records back in 1881-1882. But at this late date, there's little chance of shattering the all-time high of 141.5 inches, set in 1970-71.
