"Portland Hall, a downtown dorm operated by the University of Southern Maine, is going on the market.
The building will be offered for $3 million, said Greg Boulos, of CBRE/The Boulos Co., who is the lead broker for the building.
It's located at 645 Congress St. and has been operated as a dorm since 1989, Boulos said.
USM said it is selling the dorm because there are enough other housing options available closer to the school for students that the dorm is no longer needed."
