Boomtown?

BusinessWeek:
"Portland, the state's largest city, has gone through a bit of a renaissance in the last couple of decades, drawing in young people with its beauty, affordable prices (relative to Boston), and cosmopolitan atmosphere. Portland area households grew 5% from 2000 to 2008, to 31,291. The average income jumped 16% during that period, to $55,344 in 2008."
