Peaks Island Can't Get Away Yet

Late this afternoon, the State’s Joint Standing Committee on State and Local Government voted unanimously to deny an act that would give Peaks Island the okay to secede from the City of Portland. The workshop session and vote took place in the Cross Building, Augusta.
