More funds for Skatepark

City of Portland:

"Today, the City of Portland’s Skatepark Planning Committee announced the award of $25,000 from the Quimby Family Foundation for the construction of a new skatepark at Doughtery Field. To date, the Skatepark Planning Committee has raised $250,182 including $75,000 of land towards the $325,000 goal. The addition of the $25,000 from the Quimby Family Foundation satisfies the fundraising requirement for a $50,000 matching grant from the Ollie Fund of the Maine Community Foundation. At this point, the Skatepark Planning Committee has raised enough money to begin plans for construction."
