Addison Woolley Gallery Closing

Below is the message from their website. It is a nice place and a good idea, but with this economy (and the rent I can only image they pay) I am not surprised. As was noted earlier Aucocisco is moving to the Old Port from the Arts District into the space of the Daniel Kany Gallery, which is also closing.

My own gallery / printing studio is still open, and we will be celebrating our first year anniversary during the next First Friday. We will be announcing some changes (which I am working on right now), but for the most part we hope to tough it out.
"The Addison Woolley Gallery will close at the end of March, 2009.

I wish to thank all of you for your many visits, conversations, and the support you have shown the gallery over the last year. This week marks the first anniversary of this wonderful space. We are discussing ways to rebuild what has been started here--perhaps by means of an online photography co-op and virtual gallery. So please keep this site bookmarked, and stay tuned for what comes next in our attempts to keep this artists' community alive and flourishing."
